A Forever Kind of Thing

Some kinds of forever don’t look the way you expected. 🖤

Axel and I are coming up on two years together. Two years of pure bliss. The happiest two years of my adult life, anyway. We get along so smoothly, it’s like he’s always been there. He knows my quirks and my weirdness. I don’t have to mask in front of him. I can just be myself.

He sent me a photo the other day of the two of us together, with the caption “A forever kind of thing,” across the middle. These simple words were meaningful, he sees this as I see this. Forever. He’s my person, and it’s clear he feels the same way.

We talk about the houses we will build and live in when we are inevitably rich. A place for me among his wife and him. His wife not a burden or annoyance in the situation, but rather the thing that keeps me sane in all this. Knowing that I cannot call and text him at all hours and all days and be entirely codependent, which I would be, keeps me on track. Keeps me doing the things I need to do for me.

It’s the most secure and stable I have felt in, well, forever.

We drive the two hours to the gangbang together, and two hours back, the conversation flowing the entire time. Us, comfortable enough in the silences, too. Letting time pass with us just in each other’s presence.

The sex keeps getting better and better. Each time, like he’s exploring me for the first time. Him attentive to my every need and want, it seems. His body fits mine so perfectly, it’s like he was meant for me. He was the first man to make me squirt from a cock, from our first encounter, every. Single. Time. Without fail. There’s no tension preceding it either. It’s like when he says to cum, my body just obeys. Mindlessly.

We’re going to another party together this weekend. This one with his wife. I’m excited to spend more time with her. To get to know stories from her perspective. To hear more about the man I love. To get to know the people he loves. The kitchen table poly thing seems to be working, despite several people in my life’s misgivings.

Most in my life have been nothing but supportive, even if they don’t quite understand. A lot of people can’t get polyamory, but for me, it makes absolute sense. You can love many family members, kids, friends. Why is lovers relegated to only one? We can only kiss and fuck one person? Why?

It never made sense to me.
